Gift Shop Records

I recently posted a video of The Daffodils playing their song “Summer Eyes”. This song will eventually be released on Gift Shop Records but we are still deciding when and where it will be released. But for now, enjoy. Also, the new Daffodils Album “Gulls and Buoys” will be released sometime this spring or summer. Keep a lookout because it will be a “Must Have” for your music collection.

We are working on getting more distribution here at Gift Shop Records and soon we will have more music available through Amazon.com and iTunes. We will keep you posted on this.
In other news… If you are in Portland there is a secret show tomorrow night (March 20th) at 8pm at The Know with “The Daffodils“. This is going to be great because the Daffodils are great and they don’t play very often. Gift Shop Records will be re-releasing The Daffodils’ first CD “Renee and Eugene” as well as the new Daffodils Album “Gulls and Buoys”. This is gonna be a good one.

Just some news of upcoming releases.  The newest installment of The Daffodils will be released on Gift Shop Records.  The Daffodils is the brain child of Caps bassist James Reisen.  His music is beautiful, soulful, and hard to ingnore.  The recording for this mostly took place in Lelkoland, (Brian Lelko’s 4 track basement studio).  Matched with James’ songs, Brian helps create a big sound.  I can’t stop listening and am very excited about this release.  Look for this release in the late summer, early fall of 2007.
